St. George's Day in village of Patalenitsa, Bulgaria.

The biggest celebration in the village Patalenitsa, Bulgaria is St George's Day. Early in the morning of that day the villagers light bonfires of vine twigs. Once the coals are ready the whole lambs are arranged and roasted on a spit by rotating continuously for several hours. The time for preparation of the meat is time for meeting with relatives and neighbours. This tradition have been taking place each  year on May 6, for more than 60 years.
